Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What do I need to do before you arrive?
A. The following things need to be done before we get there:
• You need to contact the appropriate “Call Before You Dig” organization to have them mark the locations of underground lines and cables. There is no cost to you for this service. Typically they need a minimum of two days notice prior to your planned digging date.

• The customer must place a small stake or spray paint the location of the center of each hole. The center of the post should be the center of the hole.
Q. I've lived here all my life and only want 1 hole for a clothes line. Do I still have to call for underground locates?
A. Yes - We never dig anywhere without current clearance from all the utilities.
Q. What size hole do you dig?
A. For a 4x4 post we use an 8 1/2" diameter auger.
Q. Will your equipment fit in our yard?
A. Yes - Our compact landscape tractors are less than 50" wide. In many cities, where yards have limited access, our operators also use compact auger systems.
Q. Will your equipment damage our lawn?
A. No - Our wide turf tires prevent lawn damage.
Q. What do we have to do for you to start work?
A. We ask you to mark the centre of the holes you want dug or determine your property boundaries if we are laying out your fence.
Q. How much notice do you require before doing the job?
A. Since we have many operators we are able to accommodate emergency jobs quickly, but we appreciate up to a weeks notice.
